2007 Asian Bio-Hydrogen Symposium이 11월 둘째주 대전의 유성 리베라 호텔에서 있다고 합니다. 에너지기술연구의 바이오 하이드로젠 연구팀이 준비를 하고 계신 모양입니다. 처음엔 참석해볼까 하다가, 11만원의 등록비가 솔직히 좀 부담이 되어서 고민중(?)입니다.
그런데 연사들을 보다가 깜짝 놀랐습니다. 후지레바이오의 패트릭 존스 박사가 오는 군요. 여담이지만 저 회사에 제가 들어가서 바로 이 바이오 수소 연구를 할 뻔 했었습니다. 미국의 제 보스가 추천해줘서 나름 좋은 오퍼도 받았고 형식적인 면담만 남겨놓았었는데, 제 아내가 대학원에 입학하게되어서 결국은 미국에 남았죠. 메일을 주고받으면서 참 젠틀한 사람이다라는 좋은 인상을 받았는데, 한국에 온다고 하니 한 번 가서 만나보고 싶다는 생각도 드는군요.
아래는 프로그램입니다. 한국에서도 이런 에너지 연구가 더욱 활성화되었으면 좋겠네요.
